What an awesome weekend of creative inspiration we enjoyed with Donna Downey at Memories Galore Friday, Sept. 19th through Sunday, Sept. 21st. Donna's gracious spirit and passion for mixed media art was contagious! A lucky customer from each store won "Dinner with Donna" and, as evidenced by these snapshots, new friendships began (over a good meal & conversation, that's easy for scrapbookers, isn't it?).
From our Brandermill (Midlothian) store, Tammy George who's never taken a class with Memories Galore shared in a cheesecake birthday celebration with Donna on Saturday evening at A Taste of Italy.
And, from our West End (Richmond) store, SDU Graduate Kathy Catino endured a three-hour dinner marathon at Capital Ale House--at least dinner was free, right Kathy?!? ;-P Gotta love the baby beer steins!
Special thanks to Donna's fun-loving husband, Bill, for all of his support throughout the weekend with our event. We all loved having Donna's exclusive merchandise available to purchase.
Donna, we cannot thank you enough for your generousity, enthusiasm and the creative inspiration that you shared! You are what this craft is all about--people, art and the freedom to create!
For those of you who took one of Donna's dynamic classes, I hope you feel as inspired and creative and renewed as I do! Stay tuned folks as we look at bringing Donna back to Richmond in 2009!

Wow ... Wow ... Triple Wow!! It sounds like such a WONDERFUL time was had by all!!!
It may have been my first classes, but definitely will not be my last! Thanks to Memories Galore for a wonderful dinner and an even better time with Donna and the group!
