Happy New year!!
Ok here is your first challenge of the year...pick a word. One word that would describe something that you want to focus on and accomplish for 2008. Now scrap that word. It can be your firt layout of the new year!! Now thru out the year include this word on some of your layouts. Last year I picked the word "Nurture". I scrapped a picture of my kids and husband and wrote on how I was going to nurture them and our relationships for the year 2007. It was a real eye opener when I would include this word on my scrap pages in July! It really reminded me and kept me focused on my goal. I loved incorporating my goal for the year with my passion for scrapbooking. So give it a try...it can be lots of fun (Thank you Ali Edwards for passing this wonderful idea on). So I wonder what my word will be this year??How about you? :)
Hi Dawn!! Love the challenge and I'm throwing one out there for 2008 too! How many layouts can we each do on a monthly basis? I'm striving for at least 10/month.
And my inspiration word is Money. Ha, just kidding -- I'm choosing Create. What's yours for 2008?
Hi Dawn!! Love the challenge! I'm also throwing out a challenge -- how many scrap pages can we each complete every 30 days?
My goal is going to be at LEAST 10 pages/month. And my inspiration word is Lazy. Okay, just kidding. I'm choosing Create. What's yours for 2008?
Hi Deb!!
Love your word and your challenge! I think I may shoot for 5 layouts a month and one mini project. I love mini projects! However it may take me a year to clean up my scrap room!! Maybe your husband can help you reach that scrap goal of yours!! ;) LOL LOL
I have been thinking alot about my word and I think I am going to go with "re-evaluate" in 2008. I think that I need to re-evaluate the way I have been doing things in my life (good and bad) and see how I can learn from them, grow and make things better. As my children get older (and OK as I get older!) things have to change inorder for us to handle our new "experiences". I am hoping that this will bring more (or less) into my life and make for a great year!
So you better get scrapping!! You have 10 layouts to complete!!
Ladies, this sounds like a lot of fun! My word is "WILL". I WILL do my very best. I WILL be successful. I WILL be forgiving. I WILL be me! I've spent too many years in the 'maybe', 'if', 'could', 'might' space... I WILL be different.
As far as your challenge, Deb... ummm... maybe I can commit to getting the 10 pages/month done--when pigs fly! I WILL get back to you on that one!
That is a great word!!
This will help you focus on it all year long. Good luck with your journey!!
How about instead of trying to do a certain amount of layouts a month you do a year in review album. That way you do one layout a month highlighting some photos from that month with some journaling. Then you can do one layout a month and at the end of the year you have one complete album...maybe pigs can fly!! LOL
I too love the challenge, Dawn! My word is "discipline". I am going to endevour to plant seeds of discipline into all areas of my life. Scrapping the word will help me to stay focused, as well as document my growth.
Great challenge Dawn!
I have changed mine a few times, but have to go with BALANCE!
I keep saying I want and need it. I know I've had lots of challenges over the past few years and have lots of changes coming up this year. I think if I can SEE Balance on my pages in many ways, I can embrace it and feel it!
I also want to thank all of the ladies who joined me at the all night crop this weekend! We really had a blast!
Maureen
